DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Cape Town to Paternoster (+-175km)

Today we explore the country side surrounding Cape Town, we stop in at the cute town of Darling to enjoy a pub style lunch at a craft brewery before making our way to Paternoster for the night. This small coastal town is famous for its white washed sea cottages with blue window frames, as well as its extravagant seafood! Enjoy a delicious Sea food meal tonight as well as drink or two at the famous "Panty Bar" (Meals: D)

Day 2: Paternoster- Lamberts Bay - Citrusdal (+-260km)

Today we ride the beautiful Northern Coast region, looking out for Gannets, seals and other marine animals. We have a very special lunch planned at "The Muisbosskerm".  This restaurant was voted one of the: "Top Ten Sea Views to Dine For" by National Geographic. Dine on delectable seafood right on the beach and try local South African cuisine that will make your tastebuds tingle.  Afterwards we explore more great roads as we make our way to a HOT SPRINGS resort in Citrusdal. This evening we enjoy a soak in beautiful hot and cold water pools with amazing mountain views and a light poolside dinner (Meals B,L)

A seafood lunch with a difference

Day 3: Citrusdal to Tankwa Karoo (+-260km)

They say "The Karoo is not as much a place, as it is a feeling" Today we journey to the Beautiful and desolate Karoo Desert. En-route we will ride some exciting Gravel Mountain passes including Pakhuis Pass and Botterkloof, as we make our way to Tankwa Tented Camp, our home for the next two nights. The Tankwa Karoo is the driest part of South Africa and so the least populated, making it the perfect place to escape. It is also home to AfricaBurn- South Africa's answer to Burning Man (Meals B,D)

Day 4 Rest Day Tankwa Karoo (0-50km)

Today you have the whole day free to explore the Tankwa Karoo. Here you can visit the Tankwa Karoo National Park, Enjoy wildlife sightings of Oryx, springbok, birds, crickets and fascinating insects, Visit the art sculptures from Africa Burn and more! We have also included some exciting activities:  A ride to see the famous Artscape installations, a swim in a farm reservoir, and a sunset truck trip to the top of Sunset Hill to enjoy Sundowners (Ties are compulsory for a sunset trip in this quirky place!). Tonight we enjoy drumming in the "Onverklaar" bar where you will meet the colorful and crazy locals who call The Tankwa Home. (Meals B,L,D)

Day 5 Tankwa Karoo to Matjiesfontein (+-210km)

On the road again we make our way through the breathtaking Cederberg Mountains to Tankwa Padstal where we enjoy lunch at a quirky wild-west style diner. Next up we make our way to Matjiesfontein. It will feel like you have stepped back in time in this "Victorian " Style Town. Tonight we sleep at the fabulous Lord Milner Hotel- where historic ambience, old world service and classic comfort combine. Tonight we hop aboard the local Red London Double Decker Bus from the sixties for a short tour of the town with entertainment from a local legend named Johnny who is full of charm and catchy one liners! (Meals B,D)

Day 6 Matjiesfontein to Matjiesvlei (+-165km)

Today we enjoy world class riding as we ride over "Seweweekspoort" rated by many as one of the most stunning mountain passes in the country. Our home for the Next two nights is Matjiesvlei cottages, home of South Africa's most famous Braai  (BBQ) Master: JAN BRAAI.  Matjiesvlei is right in the heart of our famous Route 62, located at the foot of the breathtaking Swartberg Mountain. This is the perfect place to spend two nights and explore the Mountain passes that this region is famous for. (Meals: B,D)

Day 7: Rest Day MatjiesVlei and Optional Ride over Swartberg Pass (+-272km)

Today we ride the amazing Swartberg Pass. This steep gravel road was built by Sir Thomas Bain and is a bucket list ride for Motorcyclists all over the world. We will have lunch in the small hamlet of Prince Albert before taking the beautiful Meiringspoort Pass back to Matjiesvlei. This pass is smooth tarmac  all the way with a gentle gradient and over 63 Bends, corners and curves- a riders delight! Tonight we enjoy another traditional BBQ with delicious South African hospitality (Meals: B, D)

Day 8: Matjiesvlei to Malgas (+-352km)

The fun just never stops. Today we make our way along Route 62 to Montagu where we enjoy a Tractor tour and a traditional "potjiekos" lunch. We then explore the beautiful gravel roads of the Overberg as we make our way to Malgas. En route we cross the Breede River on the Malgas Ferry, another bucket list item for many! (Meals B,L,D)

Day 9 Malgas- Cape Agulhas- Kleinmond (+-245km)

Today we ride all the way to the Southern Most tip of Africa- Cape Agulhas! After a photoshoot and visit to the lighthouse, we enjoy gravel roads via Elim to the Birkenhead Brewery for lunch. Tonight we sleep in the beautiful seaside town of Kleinmond and enjoy sundowner drinks at the quaint working harbor. Tonight we enjoy a dinner at a seaside restaurant and enjoy our traditional end of tour ceremony. (Meals included: B)

Day 10: Kleinmond- Franschoek- Cape Town , end of Tour (+-200km)
Today we ride to Cape Town along beautiful Ocean roads. En-route we stop in Franschhoek for lunch, right in the heart of the Cape Winelands. We enjoy a ride over the beautiful Franschoek Pass and then slowly make our way to the Cape Town International Airport where our tour sadly comes to an end. (Meals: B)

You may wish to extend your stay with a few extra nights in Cape Town. Hotel Transfers will be arranged!

How does the pricing work:
All prices are quoted per motorcycle based on riding 1 up and sharing accommodation. If you would like to bring a passenger add the "Pillion price" to the base price OR if you would like your own room, add the "Single Supplement price" to the base price to get your total.

*Accommodation will be in basic, but good quality establishments. If you choose the sharing option and are a lone rider- you will share a room with another rider of the same sex. Couples will have their own private rooms. Most nights will include your own private bathroom, but their is one or two nights on this tour were you will be sharing a bathroom with one other couple

TOUR DIFFICULTY?

        

Intermediate:
This tour takes place on both gravel and tarmac Roads. Most Gravel roads are good and  hard packed. However we recommend you have at least an intermediate level of riding. There are one or two sandy sections.
