DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1 Cape Town- Cape Point- Hermanus (+-250km)

Welcome to South Africa! Today you get to ride miles and miles of beautiful Ocean roads. Starting off in Cape Town you ride up over Signal hill to Chapmans Peak. Here crashing oceans meet stark cliffs making for one of the most beautiful rides in the world. Next up you head all the way down to Cape Point (The most South- Westerly point of AFRICA) followed by Simons Town (home of the South African Navy), then make a stop to see penguins living on the beach before reaching Hermanus (The whale watching capital of South Africa).

Miles and Miles of Ocean roads

Day 2: Hermanus – Cape Agulhas- Mossell Bay (+-400km)

Today you will have your first taste of Gravel roads. Starting off your day, you make your way to Cape Agulhas- the most southern point of Africa and the place where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans Meet. Next up you get to ride beautiful gravel roads which include a ferry crossing. Tonight you sleep in the friendly sea side town of Mossell Bay with great ocean views. (Meals included: B)

Stand at the Southern Most Tip of Africa

Day 3: Mossel Bay to Storms River Mouth via the Mountain Passes of the Garden Route (+-320km)

Today you will get to ride the Iconic Mountain Passes that the Garden Route is famous for. The Gravel passes you will ride today were designed and built by the legendary Thomas Bain. First up is the beautiful Montagu Pass. Steep and windy with spectacular views of the Outeniqua Mountains. Next up you ride the 70km Prince Alfred Pass. With exciting views around every corner, this is a great ride. Around lunch time you should arrive in Knysna where you can stop off for a seafood lunch and mesmerizing views of the Knysna Headlands. In the late afternoon you will arrive iat  Storms River Mouth. Tonight, you sleep in beautiful wooden Cabins overlooking the Ocean. (Meals Included: B)

Ride world famous Gravel mountain passes

Day 4 Rest Day Storms River Mouth (0-100km)

There is so much to see and do on your rest day. Storms River Mouth is famous for the beautiful suspension bridges hanging precariously between the sea cliffs. There is an optional 2km roundtrip hike to see the suspension bridges and explore this breathtaking national Park.  You may also enjoy seeing the suspension bridges and Storms River Gorge from on the water on a Kayak and Lilo Adventure. Other optional activities in the area include: Tree Top Canopy Tours, Quad Bike Adventures, Beach Picnics and more. Otherwise you may just wish to relax in your ocean view cabin! (Meals included: B)

Storms River Mouth 

Day 5: Storms River Mouth to Addo Elephant Park (245km)

Today you make your way to the Addo elephant National Park. This park is home to over 550 Elephants and is also the only National Park in Africa that is home to the BIG 7. It has the normal Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard) but is also home to The Great White Shark and the Southern Right Whale. Your home for the next two nights is located right on the Edge of the Reserve, looking over a busy waterhole. Enjoy an Ice cold drink and take it African Savannah. (B)

Day 6: Rest Day and Safari into Addo Elephant Park

Today is dedicated to african wildlife. Start your morning with a sunrise game drive into Addo National Park. In the early hours of the morning the animals are bright eyed and bushy tailed, leading to the most amazing wildlife sightings. Return to the Lodge in time for a Leisurely brunch and spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or the waterhole, before venturing out again the late afternoon for another amazing game drive. (Meals Included: B)

TOUR DIFFICULTY?

                  

This tour takes places 50% on tar roads and 50% on dirt roads. You need to be an experienced rider both on and off the pavement and have completed at least an intermediate riding course on a big Adventure bike- or have a lot of experience riding adventure bikes in your own country
90% of this tour takes place on tarmac roads. The dirt roads are good hard-packed dirt. However, there are some long riding days and long border crossing. Some areas we visit are very rural and the roads sometimes have lots of potholes and other hazards. Need to be a confident rider.
This ride is suitable for most motorcyclists. 99% of the ride is on good tarmac roads. There are also some exciting off road options on good hard packed gravel roads. Daily distances are relatively short there are rest days scheduled regularly and there are no long border crossings.
