Day 0 – Arrive in South Africa
Welcome to South Africa. You can arrive at any time on “day 0” as you motorcycle tour only officially starts on “day 01”. Tonight’s accommodation is included as Your bonus night. A friendly Sama Tours representative will meet you at the Johannesburg airport and transfer you to your hotel in Pretoria- surrounded by shops and trendy restaurants
Day 01 – Pretoria to Clarens (+- 380km)
Highlights: Golden Gate, Clarens, Ash River
Today we make our way through South Africa’s Golden Freestate to Clarens on the edge of Golden Gate National Park. Clarens is an artist’s paradise: poets, painters and sculptures from all corners come to Clarens its famous GOLDEN Sunsets. We spend the late afternoon wondering around the craft shops, or tasting Clarens Craft beer and tonight we have dinner in one Clarens best restaurants (B,L,D)
Golden Gate National Park
Day 02- Clarens- Lesotho- Clarens (+- 250km)
Highlights : God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, The Three Rondavel’s, Waterfalls, Magical Views Sites
Today we enjoy a very exciting ride to Katse Dam in Lesotho. After an early start, we enter the Lesotho border and make our way towards Katse Dam (a huge man made dam twhich supplies water to South Africa in times of drought) The road to the dam has more turns within 80km than any other road in Africa (A motorcycle riders’ dream.) The condition of the road is excellent with very little traffic. The Katse Dam is truly eye-opening! After lunch you can return along the same road arriving back at your hotel in Clarens in the late afternoon. (Meals: B, L, D)

Day 03 Clarens to Nambiti (+-223km)
Highlights: Nambiti Game Reserve Big 5 Safari
Today we ride to Nambiti Game Reserve. This private Reserve spans over 10,000 hectares and is home to the Big 5. We will arrive in time for Lunch and have the whole afternoon free to relax at our Luxury Lodge. In the last afternoon we will board an open safari vehicle for a Sunset Game Drive- Look out for Elephants, Lions, Zebras, Hippos and more. On Return to Camp- we enjoy Dinner around crackling fire (Meals: B, L,D)

Day 04- Nambiti to Underberg (+-275km)
Highlights: Drakensberg Mountains
Today we make our south along the edge of the mighty Drakensberg Mountains all the way to Underberg at the foothill of Lesotho’s Mountains! Along the way we will meander along Nottingham road and enjoy an optional stop at Nelson Mandela’s Capture Site. For those that enjoy riding offroad- their is an optional Gravel road that takes us into the Mountains along the Lower Lotheni Road, with breathtaking views and interesting rock formations (B, L,D)
Ride the Drakensberg
Day 05- Underberg to East London (550 km)
Highlights: Barkly Pass
Leaving the rolling hills of the Drakensberg behind, we make our way through rural Eastern Cape to our lodge just outside the coastal town of East london – Tonight, we sleep right on one of the most beautiful surfing beaches in the country- Chintsa Beach. Enjoy an amazing meal and fall asleep to the sound of Waves crashing below.(Meals: B,L,D)

Day 06 – East London to Addo Elephant National Park (+- 484 km)
Highlights: Addo Elephant National Park
Today we make our way through the rolling hills of the Eastern Cape. In the early afternoon we will arrive at the Addo Elephant National Park- home to Africa’s famous BIG 5, and famous for its large herds of elephants. We have 2 Night booked in this beautiful location to relax and enjoy a truly African Safari (Meals: B,L,D)

Day 07- Rest Day Addo
Highlights: Big 5 Safari, Elephants
It is time to go on Safari! Addo is famous for its large heard of elephants. This makes for an amazing day spent on safari looking out for these gentle giants as well as the whole BIG 5 including Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant. We enjoy a full morning on safari and will return to our lodge in time for Lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool or enjoy another optional sunset Safari. (B,D)

Day 08- Addo to Storms River (+- 250 km)
Highlights: Garden Route National Park
After a scrumptious breakfast, we follow the coastal route to the start of the famous Garden Route. We ride into the Garden Route National Park and take an easy walk to see the famous suspension bridges between the sea cliffs, Tonight we sleep in a beautiful lodge overlooking the crashing ocean below (B,L,D)

Day 9- Storms River- Knysna- Oudtshoorn (+- 260km)
Highlights: Knysna Heads, Garden Route Mountain Passes
Today we ride the world-famous Garden Route. Our firsts top is the spectacular Bloukrans Gorge. Bloukrans is home to the world Highest Bungee Jump- 216 Meters of pure Adrenalin. Next up we ride into Knysna and marvel at the beautiful Knysna Heads. From here riders can either take the dirt or tar route to Oudtshoorn. Both options include unbelievable views and the spectacular mountain roads that the Garden Route is Known for. We will arrive in Oudtshoorn- the Ostrich Capital of South Africa- in the late afternoon. This will be our home for the next two nights. (B,L,D)
Knysna Lagoon
Day 10- Oudtshoorn Rest Day
Highlights: Garden Route, Ostrich farms, Cango Caves and spectacular mountain passes
Today is a rest day- but there is so much to see and do. We will have a guided tour of the Cango Caves with its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites and a tour of a working Ostrich farm- where you will get to feed, touch and hug Ostriches. For those that would like to do some more exciting dirt riding, there will be an optional ride over the famous Swartberg Pass. This is a bucket list ride for Adventure Bikers the world over. This Afternoon-relax and enjoy the warm Karoo Hospitality that this area is known for. This evening we will be treated to a traditional Ostrich Braai (BBQ) that will tantalize your taste buds. (B,D)

Day 11- Oudtshoorn to Cape Agulhas (350km)
Highlights: Route 62, Folding Mountain Passes, The Southern Most Tip of Africa
After an early breakfast we make our way to the start of Route 62. The road winds through the Swartberg Mountains and beautiful foothills in their valleys. Route 62 is full of quirky stops including Ronnies Sex Shop and the Diesel and Creme Cafe. We make our way down to Cape Agulhas- the Southernmost tip of Africa at 34° S and 20°E. Here the ice cold waters of the Atlantic ocean meet the warm Indian ocean, creating a turbulent mixture of untamed beauty. There is always a party at Cape Agulhas, as we celebrate reaching the most southern point of Africa- there are great photo opportunities at the Southern most tip! (B,L,D)

Day 12- Cape Agulhas to Cape Winelands (+- 300 km)
Highlights: Cape Winelands
Today we make our way to Cape Winelands. En- Route we will stop in at Hermanus- the whale watching capital of South Africa and also at Bettys Bay where we will get up close to penguins living on the beach. The Cape Winelands are a beautiful landscape of vineyards, mountains and fruit farms. The riding is also world class with some exciting mountain passes. Tonight we will sleep in the heart of the winelands and enjoy some local wine tasting. (B,L,D)

Day 13- Cape Winelands- Cape Point- Cape Town (+- 180 km)
Highlights: Cape Point, Chapmans Peak,Simons Town, Coastal Roads, Signal Hill
Today we make our way to Cape Town, South Africa’s Mother City. Today is the highlight of the trip as there are beautiful coastal views with twisting roads cut into the sea cliffs virtually all the way. We start the day with a ride to the “Simonstown”- a working navy base. After that we make our way to Cape Point- the most South- westerly point of Africa (with views of the Cape Peninsula). Next up we ride the famous Chapman’s peak drive past False Bay and then head over Signal hill into Cape Town, where we celebrate the end of an amazing tour at one of Cape Town’s best restaurants. Day 14- End of Tour (+- 0-50 km)
Sadly, your tour of South Africa has come to an end. We guarantee that you will take home loads of awesome photographs and fond memories of Southern Africa and the warm people you have met. Transfers will be arranged to the airport.

Cape Town is such a beautiful city and is really worth staying for a few extra nights after the tour- there is so much to see and do including Cable Car Rides up Table Mountain, Robben Island trips to see where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 26 years and wine tasting tours to sample our famous South African wines.
