Hi there, riders around the world! Welcome to 2026. This year is set to be the best and busiest year in the 23-year history of SAMA Tours.
In the news this month:

The year started with a bang!
45 Germans arrived in South Africa on 3 January and hit the ground running on our 19 Day South African Motorcycle Safari through South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho. We are happy to report that we managed to get 30 BMW GS Motorcycles, 1 Fortuner, 2 Vitos, 2 Mercedes Sprinters, 4 Tour Guides and 45 Germans over 4,500KM all the way from Pretoria to Cape Town. The tour ended on a high note with the SAMA Team being serenaded by the German Riders over dinner at the City Lodge in Cape Town – a great end to a fantastic journey.
This February, we have 13 riders (Including 1 Lucky Prize Winner – Hi Troy!) taking on our 14 Day Cape Epic Motorcycle Journey starting on 13 February. The route will take them along all the amazing mountain passes, coastal roads and wine regions of the Garden Route in a loop back to Cape Town.
In March we have a whole conglomerate of Brits from Charlie Farleys Motorcycle Tours in the UK joining us for our 8 Day Cape Explorer Tour from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth and in April we have a group of French Riders from Reunion taking on our 14 Day African Kingdom Adventure Tour which is a combination of all the best tar and gravel roads In the kingdoms of Swaziland and Lesotho.
And that’s just the first 4 months of the year…
As South Africa cools down, our tour calendar turns Northwards. Winter is the best time to travel North – it’s not too hot, it never rains, and wildlife viewing it out of this world! We still have places on our 13 Day African Odyssey Tour in June, our 35 Day Cape to Kilimanjaro Tour in July, and our 22 Day Victoria Falls Tour in August! - Riding 1up sharing on an F800GS: USD 18,910.00- Less 15% Discount = US$16,073.50
- Riding 1up sharing on an F900GS: USD 20,130.00- Less 15% Discount = US$17,110.00
- Riding 1up sharing on an R1300GS: USD 21,240.00- Less 15% Discount = US$18,054.00
- Riding 1up sharing on a R1300GS ADV: 21,610.00- Less 15% Discount = US$18,368.00
- To bring a pillion, add: USD 8,050- Less 15% Discount = US$6,842
- For Single supplement, add: USD 2,150- Less 15% Discount = US$1827

Understanding the Pricing
All prices are quoted per motorcycle based on riding 1 up and sharing accommodation. If you would like to bring a passenger add the “Pillion price” to the base price OR if you would like your own room, add the “Single Supplement price” to the base price to get your total.
How Payment works:
We will require a 10% Deposit to secure your place on the tour and the balance will be due 60 days prior to your tour departure. We accept payment via bank transfer and credit card

- 31 Days Motorcycle Rental
- 35 Nights’ Accommodation in 3-4 Star Lodges, hotels or Beach Bungalows
- 35 Breakfasts, 21 Lunches and 30 Dinners
