Cape Peninsula Motorcycle Day Tour

1 Day Cape Point Motorcycle Tour Itinerary:

We will meet at Sama Tours HQ Cape Town between 08:00 and 08:30am- You will get fitted out with Motorcycle Riding Gear (Helmet/Jacket/Gloves/Boots/Pants) and do the paperwork. We will enjoy a quick safety briefing and then the fun begins. 
We ride out of the city along beautiful forest roads past Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and though the wine farm region of Contantia and over the Muizenberg Mountains. We meet the ocean at the old Navy Base of Simons Town. Here there is an option visit to see the Boulders Beach Penguins LIVING on the beach.  Next up we ride along breathtaking coastal roads all the way to Cape Point Nature Reserve (Entrance Included) We ride all the way to the Most South Western TIP of Africa. Look out for Baboons, Antelope and wild Ostriches. After a photo stop at the famous Cape Point Sign we enjoy lunch in a small seaside village and then ride more exciting coastal roads along the world famous Chapmans Peak back into Cape Town again. Our final stop for the day is Signal Hill for 360 Degree views of Cape Town and Table Mountain.

HONDA CRF300L

Our Honda CRF300L’s are the perfect motorcycle for CITY riding- they are light and nimble and easy to Manoeuvre. The come standard with a luggage rack and a cell phone mount and usb charger can be fitted on request .

BMW F800GS

For this tour- you can also choose to UPGRADE To a BMW F800GS. This is also a great motorcycle to enjoy exploring the epic coastal roads and mountain passes around Cape Town. Comes standard with ABS/Cruise control, various rider modes and a top box

Do I need a Motorcycle Licence?

Yes

Do I need Motorcycle Insurance do to this tour?

We require all participants to have Medical travel insurance that covers you for  all Medical Costs. Make sure that your Provider covers you when riding a motorcycle over 300cc in a foreign country.

Is this day tour suitable for Beginners?

This is not a difficult ride- however we do require you feel confident on two wheels and be used to manoeuvring a motorcycle though a city with traffic

How do I sign up?

Your first step in signing up for the tour will be to fill in our Day Tour Application form– As soon as we receive your application we will check availability and send you a booking confirmation and a link to make payment.  We will require a 30% Deposit to confirm your tour and full payment needs to be made at least 2 Weeks before your ride.
