Paarl Rock Day Tour from Cape Town

1 Day Paarl Rock Tour Itinerary:

We will meet at Sama Tours Cape Town between 08:00 and 08:30am- You will get fitted out with Motorcycle Riding Gear (Helmet/Jacket/Gloves/Boots/Pants) and do the paperwork. We will enjoy a quick safety briefing and then the fun begins. We will leave the shop and ride out of the city before taking the back roads and gravel farm roads to Paarl where we enter the Paarl Rock Nature Reserve. Here we spend a couple of hours riding the exciting roads and “2 Spoor” tracks in and around the dams and rock formations. We Enjoy a drink of water and some snacks up on giant rock boulder and then ride down into Paarl for Lunch. From here we travel back to Cape Town again on more gravel roads through the Durbanville wine reguon. We stop for a final photo shoot on the beach with Table Mountain in the background and the return the motorcycle to Sama Tours in the late afternoon. After returning the motorcycles transfers back to your hotel will be arranged.

HONDA CRF300L

Our Honda CRF300L’s are the perfect motorcycle for on offroad tour- they are light and nimble and easy to Manoeuvre. They are very forgiving on gravel trails and a lot of fun to ride. All Hondas come standard with a luggage rack and a cell phone mount and usb charger can be fitted on request .

Do I need a Motorcycle Licence?

Yes- because you will be riding on city roads to get to the grave- You will require a motorcycle License. In order to do this tour you need a motorcycle license, valid for a 250/300cc (<35kW) motorcycle. Make sure that your Provider covers you for riding a motorcycle over 300cc in a foreign country

Do I need Motorcycle Insurance do to this tour?

We require all participants to have Medical travel insurance that covers you for  all Medical Costs. Make sure that your Provider covers you when riding a motorcycle over 300cc in a foreign country.

Is this day tour suitable for Beginners?

Yes- this motorcycle day tour is suitable for beginners who are new to offroad riding. It is very easy gravel road, and the tour guide can tailor the route to suit your sill level. Although we say you can be a beginner at offroad- it is essential that you are not a beginner at MOTORCYCLE RIDING- as you will be riding in a foreign country and on unfamiliar roads- we require you to feel confident riding a motorcycle

How do I sign up?

Your first step in signing up for the tour will be to fill in our Day Tour Application form– As soon as we receive your application we will check availability and send you a booking confirmation and a link to make payment.  We will require a 30% Deposit to confirm your tour and full payment needs to be made at least 2 Weeks before your ride.
